VALDOSTA —
Jack Curtis Norman Sr., 80, of Hahira, died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born in Valdosta on June 19, 1932, to the late Joseph Curtis and Ruth Prosser Norman and was a lifelong resident of this area. Mr. Norman was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church and retired from Owens Illinois after 43 years of service. He enjoyed gardening and watching his grandchildren participate in sports at the Boys and Girls Club.
Survivors include his wife, Ann B. Norman; four children and their spouses, Paula and Tommy Folsom, Patricia and Mickey Sirmans, Pam and Garie Schnitker, Curt and Elizabeth Norman, all of Hahira; his grandchildren, Mitch and Cathy Folsom, Marianne and Ike Register, Gabe and Brandi Sirmans, Zane Sirmans, Joelle Schnitker, Jenna Schnitker, Jacob Schnitker, Jace Norman and Raegan Norman; great- grandchildren, Hunter Folsom, Eli Folsom, Aubrey Register, Carlee Sirmans, Demetris Wilson, Kalissa Wilson and Jayden Wilson; four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Julian and Evelyn Norman of Valdosta, Jimmie and Vivian Norman of Berlin, Charles Norman of Texas, Jerry and Mary Laura Norman of Valdosta; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Sarah McDonald of Valdosta, Mabel and Milton Meeks of Macclenny, Fla.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Ralph Norman; and a sister, Vivian Colson.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, at the Fellowship Baptist Church with the Rev. Ike Jefferson and Curt Norman officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
