John David Denson Jr.

-- — Mr. John David Denson Jr. was born on Oct. 22, 1960 in Boston, Ga. to the late Mr. John Denson Sr. and Bertha Mae Grant-Lewis.

He graduated from Valdosta High School on 1979. He worked for the City of Valdosta for 13 years until his health began to fail. He was called to rest on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013 at South Georgia Medical Center.

He leaves to cherish his memories, a loving wife of eight years Trina Denson; seven children, John Denson (Marcer), Travis Denson, Domonique Robinson, Tavoris Denson, Shantavia Glenn, Tysheen Glenn and Saizun Glenn, all of Valdosta; one brother, Berry Denson of Valdosta; one sister, Deirida McCray of Delray Beach, Fla.; aunts, Louise Johnson, Carolyn Morgan, Cenia Pilgrim, Debbie Smith (David) and Annie Ruth, all of Valdosta, Emma Jackson of Rochester, N.C., Connie and Lorrine Evett and Janie Grant (Herbert deceased) of Boston, Ga. and Afnes Robinson of Miami, Fla.; uncles, Larry Johnson and Willie Frank, both  of Valdosta, Charlie Grant (Mary) of Rochester, N.C., Elbert Grant (Rose) of West Palm Beach, Fla.,, Rudolph Grant (Deborah) of Fayetteville, Ga., Ernest Evett of Boston, Ga., Hannah of Thomasville, Wilbert Grant (Mary) of Detroit, Mich., and Willie Fred (Carrie) of Boston, Ga.; sisters-in-law, Carla White (Arvennie) of Hahira and Tracy Glenn of Valdosta; brothers-in-law, Judge Glenn (Grela) of Quitman, Edward Glenn of Norfolk, Va. and Zecori Clemons of Quitman; mother-in-law, Martha Lee Glenn of Quitman; father-in-law, Judge Glenn of Valdosta; step mom, Jean Haggins; seven grandchildren; three god children and a host of nieces, nephews and special friends.

Funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013 at River Hill Missionary Baptist Church. Dr. Joe Troope, pastor and will officiate. Burial will follow in the Boston Cemetery in Boston, Ga. The family will receive friends  this evening from 6-7 at the funeral home. — Scott And Roberts Mortuary
