Jessie “Buddy” Kinchens Jr., 60, of Valdosta died on Monday, Feb. 18, 2013 at Langdale Hospice House following a lengthy illness. He was born in Immokalee, Fla. on April 28, 1952 to the late Jessie Sr. and Myrtle West Kinchens. He was a self-employed painter and he was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Rocky and Lisa Kinchens of Lake Park and Jessie and Cammella Kinchens of Clearmont, Fla.; four daughters, Kimberly Kinchens of Bushnell, Fla., Felisha Trevino of Leesburg, Fla., Rebecca Kinchens of Mascote, Fla. and Katie Kinchens of Leesburg, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; five sisters, Frances Wright of Texas, Annie Murle Augiler of Haines City, Fla., Diane Altman of Valdosta, Carolyn Romo and Melinda Martinez both of Apopka Fla.; three brothers, Robert Kinchens of Belleville, Fla., David Kinchens of Leesburg, Fla. and Eddie Kinchens of Zellwood, Fla.; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, John Kinchens and a sister Jonita Kinchens.
The family will receive friends on today, Feb. 19, 2013 at the Carson McLane Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held in Apopka, Fla. at the Loomis Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Apopka City Cemetery. The Carson McLane Funeral Home is serving the Kinchens family locally.
