VALDOSTA —
Norman McIntyre, 65, of Lake Park, died on Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012, at his residence following a lengthy illness. He was born in Brooksville, Fla., on April 26, 1947, to the late Allister W. and Emily Gonzalez McIntyre. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, a retired owner/operator of his own contracting firm, an avid member of the band boosters and member of the First Baptist Church of Brooksville, Fla.
Survivors include his loving companion of 15 years, Sandy Priest of Lake Park; stepson and his wife, Joey and Cindy Priest of Maryville, Tenn.; brother and his companion, Kevin McIntyre and Donna Cestra of Brooksville, Fla.
A memorial service for Norman McIntyre will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 14, 2012, in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Don King officiating.
