Mr. Kenneth Eugene Herrin, 79 of Quitman passed away Friday, July 20, 2012 at South Georgia Medical Center. Mr. Herrin was born August 22, 1932 to the late Cassia and Irene Broome Herrin.
He was retired from the Brooks Co. Road Department Recycling Center.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 62 years, Ella Ruth Cooksey Herrin of Quitman; three daughters and sons-in-laws, Marilyn and James Moore of Quitman, Jill and Massey Hampton of Quitman, and Bonnie and Sammy Tison of Quitman; three grandchildren, Angela and Dean Whitwood, Nick Hampton, and Josh and Heather Tison; three great grandchildren, Cody Whitwood, Bailey Whitwood, and Marla Tison; two sisters, Mary Hooks and Charlene Sasser of Buguechitta, Miss.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Crosspoint Church with Rev. Steve Atkinson and grandson, Nick Hampton officiating. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to service. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to service at the church.
