Pearl Juanita Johnson Guice, 86 of Valdosta passed away Sunday, May 6, 2012 in Heritage House Nursing Home. She was born in Brantley County on April 15, 1926 to the late Herman Lloyd and Eva Howard Johnson. She grew up in Homerville and lived in Lakeland where she was an active member of Lakeland United Methodist Church, the Hugh Ratcliffe Sunday School class and the United Methodist Women. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Eve Guice, Valdosta, sons and Daughter-in-law, Jason Lloyd Guice, Homerville, Claude Merrill and Frances Smith Guice, Valdosta; grandsons, Tristan Andrew and Robin Merrill, of Valdosta; brother, Earl and Caroline Barnard Johnson, Meridien, Mississippi; brother-in-law, Donald Lee, Homerville; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 9, 2012 in Pine Forest Cemetery in Homerville, Ga. No formal visitation will be held.
