Johnnie M. Faircloth

-- — Johnnie M. Faircloth, Capt. USAF Retired, 65, of Hahira, passed away Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012, at his home after a lengthy illness.  He was born Nov. 22, 1946 in Ludowici, Ga. Mr. Faircloth was a Special Agent with the Office of Special Investigations, and had retired as a captain in the U.S.A.F. He served in both Vietnam and Dessert Storm, receiving numerous medals and awards from the U.S.A.F. Johnnie was a member of Charity Baptist Church, was an avid hunter and fisherman and a loving father and grandfather.

Mr. Faircloth was a loving and caring husband to his surviving wife of 47 years, Michele Schmidt Faircloth. He is also survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Jeff and Anna Faircloth of Moultrie, Scott Faircloth of Hahira and Jaime and Danielle Faircloth of Ray City; four grandchildren, Kathryn, Blake, Timothy and Brandon Faircloth; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Onan and Joyce Faircloth of Hudson, Fla., Kenneth and Juanita Faircloth of Monticello, Fla., and Durrell and Bobbie Pert of Clarksville, Tenn.; a sister and brother-in-law, Elaine and Whiting Delk of Athens, Tenn. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Willie Faircloth Pert and a brother Juan Faircloth.

Funeral service for Mr. Faircloth will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012, at the Carson McLane Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Lee Graham officiating. Interment will follow in McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens with full military honors. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. this evening at the Carson McLane Funeral Home.
