VALDOSTA —
Mrs. Jean Maxwell Mitchell, 82, passed away at her home in Quitman, Ga., on Oct. 15, 2012.
Mrs. Mitchell was born in Atlanta, Ga., on Nov. 16, 1929, and was the only child of Vernon Maxwell and Zemma Stewart Maxwell.
Survivors include her five children, Dick Mitchell, Maxwell Mitchell, and Marvin Mitchell, all of Quitman, Zemma Hawkins of North Augusta, S.C., and Dean Mitchell of Dothan, Ala.; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Mitchell was preceded in death by her husband, Dan M. Mitchell Sr.
Graveside service will be held Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012, at 11 a.m. in Oak Hill Cemetery in Quitman. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.maxwellmillerfuneralhome.com. — Maxwell-Miller Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
