Robbie Warner Bryson

VALDOSTA — Robbie Warner Bryson, 88, of Valdosta, died on Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, at Crestwood Nursing Home. Born in Crossville, Tenn., on Oct. 28, 1923, she was the daughter of the late John and Dora Elmore Warner. Mrs. Bryson graduated from Crossville High School. Soon after graduation, she met Bob Bryson, whom she married on June 21, 1942. The Brysons lived in several towns in Tennessee before moving to Valdosta in the early 60’s. They have lived in this area off and on for the past 50 years. Mrs. Bryson was a faithful, devoted and patient minister’s wife. She upheld her husband in his ministry and loved and cared for him, her family, children and grandchildren. She was a member of Forest Park Church of Christ.

Survivors are her husband of 70 years, Bob Bryson of Huntsville, Ala.; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Ronald Harrell of Valdosta; son and daughters-in-law, John and Terri Bryson of Huntsville, Ala., Becky Bryson of Hendersonville, Tenn.; seven grandchildren, Ronald Harrell Jr., Dirk (Angela) Harrell, Michelle (Jason) Garner of Valdosta, Andi (Tony) Crick, Jodi (A.B.) Anderson, of Hendersonville, Tenn., Caroline Bryson and Jacob Bryson, both of Huntsville, Ala.; great-grandchildren, Tyler Harrell of Jacksonville, Fla., Jaxon and Justin Harrell of Valdosta, Bryson and Dylan Nash, Jordan Nash, Riley Anderson and Reagan Anderson of Hendersonville, Tenn.

Mrs. Bryson was preceded in death by a son, Danny Bryson; sister, Emily Fulp; and brother, Beecher Warner.  

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. Ray Joyner will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-7 p.m. today. Burial will be on Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012, at 10 a.m. in Crossville City Cemetery in Crossville, Tenn. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Latin American Missions at Forest Park Church of Christ, 4263 Inner Perimeter Road, Valdosta GA 31602.
