VALDOSTA —
David L. Grumet, Lt. Col., USAF, ret., 69, of Austin, Texas died Friday, Oct. 19, 2012. Born in Pittsburgh, Pa., on Aug. 29, 1943, he was the son of the late Morris and Helen Dorio Grumet. He received his Bachelor of Science at Penn State University and his Masters of Public Administration at Golden Gate University. Mr. Grumet served 20 years in the U.S. Air Force as a fighter pilot. After his retirement, he was associated with AT&T for eight years.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby Luke Grumet of Austin, Texas; daughter, Kirsten Grumet of Issaguah, Wash.; daughter and son-in-law, Kandice and Scott Stellman of San Mateo, Calif.; and granddaughter, Davi Kate Stellman; brother, Dr. Bernard Grumet of Pittsburgh, Pa.; brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Debbie Grumet of Mt. Lebanon, Pa.
Funeral service will be held at 11a.m., Friday, Oct. 26, 2012, in the McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel. Interment will follow. Dr. John McGowan will officiate.
