Shelia Davis Guthrie

VALDOSTA — Mrs. Shelia Davis Guthrie, 48, of Adel, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012, at her residence. She was born Oct. 25, 1964 in Panama City, Fla. to the late Roy Kenneth and Jeanette Padgett Davis, but lived most of her life in Adel. She was a member of Adel First Assembly of God and was an admissions supervisor for Memorial Hospital of Adel.

Mrs. Guthrie is survived by her husband, Tony Guthrie of Adel; two daughters, Kara Guthrie and Caitlin Davis, both of Adel; one brother and sister-in-law, Darren and Kaylene Davis of Derby Kansas; mother-in-law, Brenda Guthrie; brother-in-law, Donnie Guthrie; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Lori and Frank Goldinger; brother-in-law, Ronnie Guthrie; special friends, Charlotte Hale and Sandy Koen; all of Adel; several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Kenneth Davis and Jeanette Padgett Davis.

The family will receive friends Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012, from 6-8 p.m. at Boone Funeral Home, 1804 S. Hutchinson Ave., in Adel.  The funeral service will take place Friday, Nov. 2, 2012 at 4 p.m. in the Chapel of Boone Funeral Home with the Rev. Chris Newbern officiating. Interment will follow at Antioch Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, it is requested that donations be made to Mrs. Guthrie's family.
