Reverend Doctor Steven Snow, 59, of Buckeye, Ariz. died Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at West Valley Hospital in Goodyear, Ariz. He was born on July 26, 1952 in Miami, Fla. and was a retired Baptist minister. Reverend Doctor Snow was a member of Memorial Baptist Church in Chinle, Ariz. He obtained his doctorate from Bethany Theological Baptist Bible Seminary. Steven was a 1970 graduate of Lowndes High School and graduated from Elkins Institute in Atlanta. He worked in Valdosta for WGOV as a radio announcer.
Reverend Doctor Snow is survived by his bereaved wife, Esther Connor- Snow of Buckeye, Ariz.; one daughter and son-in-law, Leslie Ann and David Acord of White Sulphur Springs, W. Va.; one son, Wesley Mitchell Snow of Memphis, Tenn.; his mother, Margaret Snow of Valdosta; one sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Kenneth Tomlinson of Valdosta; three grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Wesley Coney Snow and his sister, Judith Murphy.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Westside Baptist Church with Dr. Ernie Jones and Elder Thad Marshall officiating. Burial will follow in Cat Creek Cemetery. He will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. Sunday at the Carson McLane Funeral Home.
