Betty Sue Marshall, 83 of Lake Park passed away Sunday, Aug. 5, 2012 at South Georgia Medical Center after a brief illness. She was born in Atkinson County on Feb. 3, 1929 and was the daughter of the late David Jonah and Caroline Lucinda (Flanders) Delk.
Mrs. Marshall was a member of Francis Lake Baptist Church. Her love of God and Family were most precious to her. She is preceded in death by her husband Hugh Morrow Marshall and eleven siblings.
Her survivors include her daughters and son-in-law, Marilyn and Robert Register, Hahira, Carolyn Marshall, Colquitt County; son and daughter-in-law, Bryan and Sheila Marshall, Hartsville, S.C.; seven grandchildren, Keith Hiers, Darren Hiers (Kacey), Greg Register (Melissa), Melanie McGinnis, Kimberly Cone (Eric), Luke Marshall, Jenny Cantrell (Evan); nine great-grandchildren, Evan Hiers, Anna Hiers, Marley Cone, Nathan Cone, Alyssa McGinnis, Emma Register, Abby Register, Lucie Cone, Alex Cantrell; sister, Willie Mae Tomlinson, Valdosta; a number of beloved nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services. The family will also receive friends and family after the services at the home Robert and Marilyn Register.
