Z.T. Wilkins III, 63, of Hahira, died Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012, at his home. He was born in Hahira on April 26, 1949, to the late Zachary Taylor Wilkins Jr. and the late Mary Frances Hutton Wilkins. Mr. Wilkins lived in the Pompano Beach, Fla., area for 25 years before moving back to Hahira four years ago. He owned and operated Wilkins Golf Center in Pompano Beach and loved being outdoors. Mr. Wilkins was a member of the Hahira United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Taylorlyn Wilkins of Hahira; son and daughter-in-law, Taylor and Jessie Wilkins of Adel; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Debbie and Ronnie Pate of Hahira, Monty and Toby Smith of Bakersfield, Calif., Renee and Tim Richardson of Florence, Ky.
A memorial service for family and friends will be held at 3 p.m., today, Aug. 9, 2012, at the Wilkins Home, 5170 Old US Highway 41 N., Hahira.
