Zack Terrell Williams

-- — Zack Terrell Williams, 83, born in Thomasville, Ga., on June 25, 1929 departed on Sept. 29, 2012.

Funeral services for Zack Terrell Williams, 83, of Barney, Ga. will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 2 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. The rev. Charles McDowell will officiate and internment will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mr. Williams died on Sept. 29, 2012 in Thomasville. Born June 25, 1929 in Thomas County, Ga., he was preceded in death by his parents Zachary Taylor and Alma Monroe Williams and Caroline Hall Williams. He served in the United States Army. Mr. Williams has a bachelor degree from Georgia Teacher's College and a Master's Degree from Florida State University.  From 1952 until 1959, he worked as a teacher and coach for Morven High School and Seminole County High School. From 1959 until 2001, he worked as an agent and District Manager for the Georgia Farm Bureau. In 1974 in Thomasville, he married Joyce Guy Williams, who survives.  Mr. Williams was a member of Barney United Methodist Church, served on the Brooks Co. Industrial Development Board, Morven High School Landmarks and was owner and operator of Z T Williams Farms.  Other survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Zack Hines and Patricia Varnedoe, III of Tallahassee, Fla., Stephens  Cooke and Danielle Varnedoe of Columbia, S.C. and Robert Guy and Layne Varnedoe of Homerville, Ga. Also surviving are grandchildren, Stephanie Houghton, Zachary Varnedoe, Lee Varnedoe, Joel Varnedoe, John Varnedoe and a great granddaughter, Caroline Jane Houghton. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel.   — Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel.
