VALDOSTA —
Mary Evelyn Capan Harnage, 85, of Orange Park, Fla., passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at Signature Health Care in Orange Park, Fla. Mary was a native of Houston County, Ala., born on April 17, 1927, to the late Jake and Repsie Capan. She was a former resident of Jennings, Fla.
Mrs. Harnage was preceded in death by her husband, Leland T. Harnage; and a brother, Dorman Capan.
Survivors include two sons, Gayward Hendry (Susan), Green Cove Springs, Fla., and Byron Hendry (Martha), Orange Park, Fla.; two daughters, Brenda Hamby, Lake Park, and Leah Luke, Griffin (Gene), Griffin, Ga.; one brother, Charles Capan (Beatrice), Greenville, Fla.; a sister-in-law, Nadine Capan, Panama City, Fla.; nine grandchildren.
A special thanks to Don Smith and his family of Auburndale, Fla., for their help and kindness.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012, in the chapel of Harry T. Reid Funeral Home, Jasper, Fla., with Gene Luke officiating. Interment will follow in Greenville Cemetery in Greenville, Fla.
The family will receive friends beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. — Harry T. Reid Funeral Home, Jasper, Fla., is in charge of arrangements.
