Marie Eloise Brown Gaston

VALDOSTA — Marie Eloise Brown Gaston joined Jesus and a host of family and friends in Heaven on July 31, 2012.

Marie spent her life as a farmer's wife and mother to six children. She was a member of Pinetta First Baptist Church for over 60 years. During that time she served as the Nursery Caretaker where she cared for numerous children. She also worked for 30 years in the Pinetta Elementary School Lunchroom where she fed a multitude of children, teachers and school staff. She was well-known for her fantastic country cooking, you never left her house hungry.

She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Calvin W. Gaston. She is also survived by her children: Cheryl Gaston, Loring (Rose) Gaston, Edna (Richard) Brookins, Kessler (Lisa) Gaston, Yeager E. Gaston and Wesley (Angela) Gaston; her grandchildren, Richie Gaston, Leslie (Gerald) Greenlee, Jody (Rebecca) Brookins, Jeana Brookins, Dale (Haley) Vickers, Ashley (Brian) Hannan, Randy Gaston, Michael Gaston, Amy (Gary Moore) Gaston, Stacey (Cyrus) Bachari, and Yeager C. Gaston her great-grandchildren, Reed Gaston, Dixie Gaston, Kylie Greenlee, Kyle Brookins, Karsyn Greenlee, Mason Gaston, Cody Brookins, Kyrslie Greenlee, Kaden Gaston, Colby Moore, Cy Gaston, Kaylee Gaston, Bryson Bachari, Braylee Moore, Grayson Moore and soon to arrive baby Bachari; her sisters, Dorothy Chauncey and Louise Hughes; her sisters-in-law, Gwen Youmans and Wilma Ellington. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was pre-deceased by her parents, Yeager and Ida Brown, her sister, Ida Russ, her brother, Tommy Brown, and her granddaughter, Andrea Gaston.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. this evening, Aug. 3, 2012 at Beggs Funeral Home in Madison. Services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012 at Pinetta First Baptist Church in Pinetta with interment at Mt. Horeb Cemetery in Pinetta.
