Mrs. Pat Garvitte, 65 of Adel passed away Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Cook Medical Center. Mrs. Garvitte was born February 10, 1947 to the late R. C. & Ruth Livingston Brady. She retired from lunchroom services with the Cook County Board of Education. Survivors include her son, Gary Garvitte of Adel; one daughter & son in law, Donna & Marshall Croft of Hahira; two brothers & sisters in law, John & Carolyn Brady of Sparks, and Richard & Sherry Brady of Nashville; one sister, Mary Odom of Adel; five grandchildren, Trisha Garvitte, Cheryl Garvitte, Ashley Croft, Kaysie Croft, and Marlie Croft; two great grandchildren, Brady Garvitte, and Bradley Garvitte; several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Garvitte was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Garvitte.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:00 p.m. at New Life Baptist Church with Rev. Harris Whitman officiating. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to service. Interment will follow at Sparks Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends Sunday evening at Purvis Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.purvisfh.com. — Purvis Funeral Home.
