VALDOSTA —
Larry Skinner, 58, of Nashville, died Monday, July 23, 2012, at his residence.
He was born May 21, 1954, in Lowndes County to the late John A. Skinner and the late Essie Mae Hayes. He had worked as a mechanic at Nashville Textile and was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, J.S. Skinner, James Skinner, and Daniel Skinner; sister, Dorothy Fania; half sister, Mary Ellen Gray.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Foss Skinner of Nashville; three sons, Travis (Amanda) Skinner of Hahira, Eric Skinner of Hahira, and Justin Brodie Skinner of Ocala, Fla.; three sisters, Thelma Gray of Adel, Margaret Bradford of Naylor, and Carolyn Broome of Adel; four half brothers, Jimmy Dampier of Villa Rica, Elder Robert Skinner of Lakeland, Kenneth Skinner of Nashville, and Leon Skinner of Nashville; two grandchildren, Alyssa Skinner and Caleb Skinner; numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be held Thursday, July 26, 2012 at 5 p.m. at Fellowship Baptist Church.
