VALDOSTA —
Thomas John Graddy Sr. was born on July 10, 1976, at Moody Air Force Base to Mr. Tommy L. Graddy and Yevonne Graddy. He departed this life on Dec. 23, 2012.
Thomas was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Roosevelt Thomas Sr. and John Thomas Graddy Sr.
Thomas, also known as “TJ” or “Rockhard,” was a man of many talents. He was educated in the Valdosta City School System, where he was a valued member of the Valdosta Wildcats. Thomas served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He later attended Georgia Military College. He was also a skilled brick mason.
He leaves to cherish his memories the mother of his children, Latashia Gosier; four children, Kahliyah, Tamaya, Thomas Jr. and Tristan; his father, Tommy Graddy Sr.; stepfather Billy Johnson and mother, Yevonne Graddy; two sisters, Tara (J.R.) and Shannon; nine brothers, Al (Reida), Tommy (Mary), Tony, Terrance (Mimi), Howard (Clarice), Justin, Zebedee, Seth and John; two grandmothers, Ella Mae Thomas and Ella Mae Graddy; seven uncles, Roosevelt Thomas Jr. (Thelma), Don Thomas, Rickey Thomas, El Stafford Thomas (Victoria), John Graddy, Richard Vickerson (Helen) and Daryl Graddy; six aunts, Vera Wilkerson, Shirley Williams, Hattie Rogers, Emma Graddy, Gloria Burks and Laverne Johnson; nine great aunts; three great uncles; a special cousin, Jarel Rowe; a special friend, Joel Jenkins; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held at noon Wednesday at the Grace Fellowship Seventh Day Adventist Church. Pastor Winston Taylor will officiate. Burial will follow in the Joe Howell Cemetery. — Harrington Funeral Home Inc.
