VALDOSTA —
Harry Anthony Thrift, 61, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013, at the Hospice Satilla in Waycross, Ga., following a short illness.
Mr. Thrift was born Feb. 5, 1951, in Homerville, Ga., to Myrtice Strickland Thrift of Manor and the late Anthony “Flint” Thrift.
He was a Pentecostal by faith and a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors other than his mother are his wife, Teresa Griffis Thrift, Homerville; one daughter, April Thrift Lane, Homerville; one grandson, Devin Lane, Homerville; one sister, Laverne Strickland, Homerville; one brother and sister-in-law, Stanley and Beth Thrift, Homerville; and several other relatives who he dearly loved.
Services for Mr. Thrift will be held Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Trinity Baptist Church.
Interment will be in Pine Forest Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. today at Roundtree Funeral Home. Mr. Thrift will be carried to the church one hour prior to the services.
