Mrs. Elizabeth Daughtrey, 82, of Sparks, Georgia passed away January 6, 2013 at the South Georgia Medical Center following a short illness. She was born January 25, 1930 in Hastings, Florida to the late William Shepherd and Etta Mae Betts Fletcher. She lived most of her life in Cook County and was a member of the Lakeview Baptist Church. Mrs. Daughtrey was a homemaker and had retired from Oxford.
She is survived by her husband, Duffie Daughtrey; two sons and daughters-in-law: Greg and Lynda Leigh Daughtrey, Bill and Jennifer Daughtrey all of Sparks; one daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Jack Franks of Tifton, Georgia; six grandchildren: Kenneth Franks of Dothan, Alabama; Brad Franks of Coral Springs, Florida; Calem Daughtrey of Adel, Georgia; Hunter Daughtrey, Will Daughtrey and Katie D. Walker all of Sparks; great grandchildren: Ashton Daughtrey of Sparks; Ryan, Andrew, Emily and Brooke Franks of Alabama; Nathan Walker of Sparks; one sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Stowe Parker of Gastonia, North Carolina. She was preceded in death by one sister, Mildred Whitehurst.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at the Lakeview Baptist Church with Rev. Dillard Ensley officiating. Interment will follow in the Spring Hill Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, January 7, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Boone Funeral Home, 1804 S. Hutchinson Ave, Adel, Georgia. Boone Funeral Home is serving the Daughtrey family.
