VALDOSTA —
Mrs. Bernice Godwin Carlisle, 85 of Lake Park passed away Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013 at Cook Medical Center in Adel. Mrs. Carlisle was born Jan. 23, 1927 to the late Lester Riley Godwin and Zoie Willis. She was employed with John T. Bryant Co. as the office manager before retiring.
Survivors include her three daughters and sons-in-law, Ginger and Ron Weible of Jacksonville, Fla., Cathy Nielsen of Alberta, Canada, and Susan and Wade Thomas of Alaska; two sons and daughters-in-law, Chris and Linda Carlisle of Charlotte, N.C., and Robert and Lucy Carlisle of Atlanta; 16 grandchildren; and several great- grandchildren. Mrs Carlisle was preceded in death by her son, Tommy Carlisle.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013 at 2 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at 2500 Jerry Jones Rd. in Valdosta, 2nd Ward with Bishop Patrick Paige officiating. Interment will follow in Campground Cemetery at Campground Church Rd. in Morven.
