VALDOSTA —
Julia Griffin Thompson, 75, of Morven, passed away Sunday Jan. 27, 2013, at her residence.
Mrs. Thompson was born in Pavo, Ga., to the late John Luther and Mattie Viola Willis Thompson. She was a lifelong resident of Brooks County, a homemaker and member of the Morven Baptist Church.
She is survived by three children, William A. Thompson Jr. of Morven, John Milburn Thompson of Bellafont, Penn., Richard Wendall (Becky) Thompson of Morven; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one sister, Pam Nelms of Waverly Hall, Ga.; three brothers, Arthur Griffin and Rex Griffin, both of Morven, and Ronald Griffin of Breman, Ga.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, Jan. 31, at 2 p.m. in Campground Cemetery with the Rev. Jessie Benefield officiating.
