James Eugene (Gene) Kellogg, PhD, 73 of Valdosta passed away Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013 at Langdale Hospice House after a brief illness. He was born Sept. 15, 1939 in Creston, Iowa to the late Curtis Eugene and Blanche (Prather) Kellogg. He was a member of Grace Community Church. Mr. Kellogg worked at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary in the library. After moving to Valdosta, he worked with Fresh Beginnings in their Clerical Department.
He is survived by a nephew, two nieces and a cousin.
As per his wishes he will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11, 2013 at Christ Fellowship Church, 410 Connell Rd, Valdosta.
