Latrelle Knight Rowland, 79 of Valdosta, Ga. passed away Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013 in the Langdale Hospice House. She was born in Blackshear, Ga. on Oct. 23, 1933 to the late Willie Ernest and Gladys Lucille (Kirkland) Knight, Sr. She loved to mow the yard and drink coffee with her husband. Mrs. Rowland was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed fishing and crocheting. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Rowland and a brother, Gary Knight.
Her survivors include her daughter, Tina Rowland of Valdosta; three sons and one daughter-in-law, Jimmy Rowland of Valdosta; Dickie and Freda Rowland of Valdosta; Ron Rowland of Valdosta; four grandchildren, Kristi Guest (Rick), Candice Sapp (Todd), Kelli Rowland, Christopher Broussard; eight great-grandchildren, four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Joed Dussling of Marietta; Marie Olson of Omaha, Neb.; Patricia and James Fender of Valdosta; Angie and Buddy Jones of Valdosta; two brothers and one sister-in-law, W.E. Knight, Jr. of Valdosta; Perry and Sheila Knight of Valdosta; sister-in-law, Cheryl Knight of Valdosta; two brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law, Coot Rowland of Valdosta; and Smokey and Esther Rowland of Valdosta;
Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013 at Redland Baptist Church Cemetery in Lowndes County. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013 at Music Funeral Services in Valdosta, GA.
