Handady Kushala Shetty, 92, of Valdosta, died on Sunday, July 1, 2012 at his home after a short illness. Born in Brahmavar, Karnataka, India on June 15, 1920, to the late Matpadi Krishna Shetty and Puttamma Shedthi, Mr. Shetty was an engineer in Telecommunications Department of Government of India. A widower, his wife, Mrs. Girija Shetty had predeceased him by 10 years.
Survivors are eldest daughter and son-in-law, Drs. Nirmala and Dhanraj Padhiar of Valdosta; son, Ambassador Balkrishna and his wife, Vasundara Shetty of New Delhi, India; daughter, Vijaylakshmi Shetty of San Jose, Calif. and her husband, K. Vijay Kumar Murthy of Bangalore, India; six grandchildren, Drs. Hemen and his wife, Ranjitha Padhiar of Atlanta, Ga., Vikram Shetty of Bangalore, India, Amit Padhiar of New York, N.Y., Trivikram Kasivajhula of Washington, DC; Siddhartha Kasivajhula of San Francisco, Calif.; and Gayatri Shetty of New York, N.Y.
