VALDOSTA —
Dorothy Ouida Hughes Chumney, 84, of Lantana, Fla., passed away Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, at John F. Kennedy Hospital, West Palm Beach, Fla. She was born June 30, 1928 in Lake Park, a daughter of the late Rader Madison and Clara Lee Kinsey Hughes. She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Ortez Chumney.
She is survived by two sons, Richard Alan Chumney and Michael Keith Chumney; one daughter, Monica Kaye Chumney; and five grandchildren, Brian James Chumney, Kaitlyn Rose Chumney, Lauren Rose Chumney, Morgan Lee Chumney and Christopher Michael Chumney and loving family members, Kim Chumney, Cheryl Chumney, Lori Chumney, Kimberly McClay and Debbie Laff.
Funeral service for Mrs. Chumney will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, at the McLane Lakewood Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Willis officiating. Interment will follow in Hickory Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
