Linda Jean Mitchell Griffin, 63, of Lake Park passed away Feb. 28, 2013 morning at Langdale Hospice after a brief illness. Mrs. Griffin was born on June 6, 1949 in Valdosta Ga., to the late Andrew Jackson, Sr. and Jewell (Kemp) Mitchell and had attended Clyattville Baptist Church.
Survivors include sons Robbie and Terrie Griffin of Jasper, Fla., Terry Griffin of Lake Park, Ga., Justin Griffin and Angela Burnett of Lake Park, Ga.; sisters Wanda Tison of Valdosta, Ga., and Kimberly Starling of Lake Park, Ga.; brothers and sisters-in-law Andrew Jackson Mitchell, Jr. of Lake Park, Ga., Anthony Kemp Mitchell (Lisa) of Jacksonville, Fla.; aunt Geraldine Blanton Graham of Valdosta, Ga.; uncles Harold Kemp of Pinetta, Fla. and Jimmy Norris Kemp of Jacksonville, Fla.; grandchildren Caitlin Swinson, Chassity Griffin, Cassidy Dannels, Hayden Dannels, Izabella Griffin, Kara Griffin, Justin Griffin, Jr., Gregory Griffin and Frankie Griffin; special caregiver Patty Atchely; and several nieces and nephews and extended Mitchell family members.
Graveside Services will be held today, Saturday March 2, 2013 at 11 a.m. in Sunset Hill Cemetery in Valdosta, Ga. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service time. Condolences may be expressed online at www.musicfuneralservices.com. — Music Funeral Services of Valdosta.
