VALDOSTA —
Gerald Lindsey, 69, of Nashville died Wednesday Feb. 1, 2012 at his residence.
He was born May 27, 1942 in Berrien County to the late Mack Lindsey and the late Lois Purvis. He retired from Nashville Mills as a mechanic and was a member of Flat Creek Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a brother, Talmadge Lindsey.
He is survived by his daughter, Melanie Lindsey Monson of Bridgewater, Mass.; son: Todd Lindsey of Nashville; two sisters: Dorothy Evans of Nashville and Carolyn Cornelius of Thomasville; five grandchildren: Lindsey, Josh, Hailey, Christopher, and Jessie.
The family has honored his request for cremation. A memorial service will be held Monday Feb. 6, 2012 at 11 a.m. in the Flat Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Mickey Lindsey officiating. — Lovein Funeral Home, Nashville
