Barbara Skinner Bennett, 60 of Nashville, Ga. passed away Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012 at South Georgia Medical Center after a brief illness. She was born Dec. 20, 1951 in Hahira, Ga. to the late Tally Lewis and Goalie (Brogdon) Skinner. She is Baptist by faith and preceded in death by her parents.
Suvivors Include her husband, David Hendrix of Nashville, Ga.; three daughters and sons-in-law, Wannell and Bill Merritt, Waycross, Tina Bennett and Wesley Gillard, Millwood, Ga., Carolyn and Carlton Cotney, Nashville, Ga.; two sons and daughter-in-law, Waylon and April Roberson; Jody Roberson; two daughters, Tiffany Hendrix, Crystal Hendrix; four grandchildren, Willie Merritt III, Timothy Merritt, Kaylee Merritt, William Hunter Roberson; 11 additional grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Frances and Charles Overstreet, Peggy and Leon Gray, all of Nashville, Ga.; sister, Marilyn Arnold, Nashville, Ga.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Charlene and Ricky Odom, Brenda and Bobby Moore; brothers and sisters-in-law, Carl and Angie Skinner, Larry and Chelle Skinner, all of Nashville, Ga.; a number of nieces and nephews; a special puppy, Pickles.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012 at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Music Funeral Services in Lakeland, Ga. Burial will follow in Guthrie Cemetery in Berrien County, Ga. The family will receive friends today, Oct. 6, 2012 at Music Funeral Services from 5-8 p.m.
