VALDOSTA —
Steve Walker Jr., 83 of Lake Park, Ga., passed away Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013, in South Georgia Medical Center. He was born Nov. 22, 1929 in Worth County, Ga. to the late Fred and Iris (Jackson) Walker. Mr. Walker owned and operated Walkers Truck and Car Garage. He was a lifelong resident of Twin Lakes, a member of First Baptist Church of Lake Park and loved to fish. He is preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmy Walker and Willie Walker
He is survived by his wife, Leonie Walker, Lake Park, Ga.; daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra K. and Ronnie Holland, Moultrie, Rhonda and Alvin Westberry, Lake Park; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Sunnie Sue Walker, Lake Park; three grandchildren, Renee and Thomas Peacock, Marnie Gaskins, Kris and Pam Walker, five great- grandchildren, Taylor and Ashton Peacock, Walker Gaskins, Kaydence Walker, Kelsie Walker; two sisters, Verna Mae Brackett, Atlanta, Betty Ruth and Carol Parker, Moultrie; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held today, Feb. 22, 2013 at 2 p.m. in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens.
