VALDOSTA —
Walter “Carroll” Cowart, 69 of Adel, Ga. passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2013. He was born Nov. 9, 1943 in Lowndes County, Ga. to the late J.B Cowart and Montez (Hall) Fausett of Adel. He served during Vietnam War with the United States Army. He worked with Standard Contractors since 1992 beside his boss and friend, Larry Dean. If he was not riding around in the dump truck he could be found on a backhoe or on the mule cleaning up. He was of the Baptist Faith. Survivors include: Mother, Montez Fausett, Adel; three sons and daughters in-law, Walter and Kristie Cowart, Adel, Joe Cowart, Valdosta, Phillip and Leslie Cowart, Lake Park; grandchildren: Blake Cowart, Chase Cowart, Gage Cowart, Ansleigh Cowart, Braydon Cowart, Marlee Cowart, Emmett Cowart; Sisters, Joyce Ann Calvert, Spartanburg, S.C., Faye Culpepper, Valdosta; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday March 9,2013 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in Friendship Cemetery, Hahira. The family will receive friends
