Carroll John Joyner, 76 of Valdosta passed away Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012 at Holly Hill Nursing Home. He was born Aug. 22, 1936 in Aucilla, Fla. to the late Aurelius and Louise wells Joyner. Mr. Joyner was a veteran in the United States Air Force and was a member of Providence United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Joyner.
Survivors include his daughter, Caroline Kelly of Valdosta; sons and daughter-in-law, John Joyner, Valdosta, Jeff and Rita Harter, Milledgeville; grandchildren, Tatum Touchton, Valdosta, Robert Touchton, Valdosta; great-grandchildren, Cole Freeman, Valdosta, Shane Freeman, Valdosta.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012 in Providence United Methodist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Joyner will lie in state one hour prior to service time.
