VALDOSTA —
Mary Castleberry Mixon Sutton, 71, of Hahira died Monday, Oct. 15, 2012, at South Georgia Medical Center. She was born in Tampa, Fla., on Nov. 15, 1940, to the late Roy and Elma Castleberry and had lived in this area for several years. Mrs. Sutton was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church and retired as a Certified Nursing Assistant from South Georgia Medical Center. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her church family. Mrs. Sutton loved to visit the beach and the mountains.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Faye and Allen Watson; two grandchildren, Heather Watson, Scott and Summer Watson, all of Hahira; great-grandchildren, Austin Watson, Saylor Watson, Gabe Carlo, Breanna Watson, Reed Watson; one sister, Gladys Stanfill of Moultrie; four brothers and two sisters-in-law, James and Milli Castleberry of Hosford, Fla., Harold and Mary Lou Castleberry of Glen St. Mary, Fla., Howard Castleberry of Adel, Marvin Castleberry of Hilliard, Fla.; her uncle, Cary Castleberry of Jacksonville, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Clemon F. Mixon and Daniel Jack Sutton; two sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Castleberry of Adel and Kenna Castleberry of Hilliard, Fla.
Funeral service will be held at 3 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012, at Fellowship Baptist Church near Cecil with the Rev. Ike Jefferson officiating. Burial will follow in Springhead Baptist Church Cemetery in Adel. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today at the Martin/McLane Funeral Home in Hahira.
