Mary McClelland Mulligan was born Dec. 6, 1936 in Berrien County, Ga. and passed away, Oct. 6, 2012 in Fernandina Beach, Fla.
Mrs. Mulligan was retired from Southern Bell after 22 years and had lived in Fernandina Beach, Fla. for 15 years. She is preceded in death by her parents, Rachel and Bruce Rowe, brother-in-law, Earl Walker; brother and sister-in-law, J.B. and Faye Rowe, Atlanta, and her four legged furry friend, Maggie.
She is survived by her husband, Lester Mulligan; father of her children, Cliff McClelland of Seattle, Wash.; daughter, Sandra McNeil of Fernandina Beach, Fla.; son and daughter-in-law, Jay and Susan McClelland of Seattle, Wash.; longtime special friend, James Ware of Valdosta; sister, Evelyn Walker; special niece, Pam Ringos; special niece and husband, Angela Walker Greene and Billy of Adel; brother and sister-in-law, David and Vivian Rowe; nieces, Kim, Misti and Robin of Valdosta; nieces, Terry Rowe and Cindy White of Atlanta; and two very special friends, Glenda and Jerry Bennett of Lake Park, Ga.; brother-in-law, Lacy Mulligan; step children, Georgia Kelley and Michael Mulligan, all of Valdosta; a host of cousins and her furry friends, Parker and Ling Ling. Aunt Mary, as she was affectionately known will be remembered for the twinkle in her eyes, her big shoulders when needed and always, always having the last word.
Per her wishes, Mrs. Mulligan will be cremated and a private celebration of her life will be held in Fernandina Beach, Fla. on Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012 from 12-6 p.m. at 96029 Cottage Court Fernandina Beach, FL 32034. Condolences may be sent to: jax.sanman@hotmail.com
