VALDOSTA —
Robert Allen Wallace, 68, of Valdosta, died on Monday, Oct. 29, 2012 at South Georgia Medical Center after a short illness. Born in Statesville, N.C., on Dec. 8, 1943, he was the son of the late Hugh and Mary Plyer Wallace. Mr. Wallace was a truck driver for UPS Freight.
Survivors are his wife of 47 years, Lina Balsavage Wallace of Valdosta; a son, Joshua Wallace of Valdosta; sisters, Mary Ruth Church of Yorktown, Va., Macie Woodside of Madison, Ohio, Dolores Phillips of Statesville, N.C.; brother, Bryant Wallace of Concord, N.C., Joe Wallace of Sparks; brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Evelyn Wallace of Hickory, N.C., and sister-in-law, Arlene Smith of Statesville, N.C.; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Virginia and Tim Cox of Mt. Holly, N.C.; many nieces and nephews.
