VALDOSTA —
Mr. Donald Eugene Timmons, 83, passed away Monday, Oct. 29, 2012, in the Clinch Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.
Mr. Timmons was born May 9, 1929, in Marion, IN, to the late Lester W. Timmons and Gladys Butler Timmons. He was a Route Serviceman for Sunbeam and Mairte Bread Companies, a member of the Homerville First Baptist Church and The Blackshear Golf Club. He was preceded in death by one daughter: Debra Vickers; one son: Bradley Timmons; one brother: Howard Timmons and one sister: Pearl Timmons Pence.
Survivors are his wife: Betty Lou Bailey Timmons, Homerville, GA; one daughter and son-in-law: Mary & Gregg Sayers, Valdosta, GA; one son and daughter-in-law: Rev. Jeffery L. & Lisa Timmons, Marion, IN; six grandchiuldren, Amanda Kirk, Christine Davis, Olivia Wrighjt, Abigail Timmons, Melissa Bryant and Jim Vickers; seven great grandchildren, Molly Davis, Maggie Davis, Kaileigh Kirk, Madison Timmons, Katelyn Wright, Payne Wright and Micah Bryant; several nieces, nephews and other relatives..
Memorial services for Mr. Timmons will be held Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012, at Three o’clock from the Homerville First Baptist Church..
Memorialization will be by cremation.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Homerville First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 497, Homerville, GA, 31634.
