Mr. Mahue Jones, 78, of Valdosta died Sunday, Feb. 5, 2012 at Holly Hill Nursing Home. He was born in Quitman on Oct. 3, 1933 to the late Marie Orders Williams and Preston Jones. He attended the Brooks County school system. He lived his adult life in South Florida and New Jersey and was a retired Heavy Equipment operator. He valued New Life Ministries Church family where he was a member.
He is survived by his brother, Albert Jones of Trenton, N.J.; children; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; family and friends.
The family greatly acknowledge the love and concern shown to them by the staff of the Pearlman Cancer Center, South Georgia Medical Center, Dr. Dallas Miller, Langdale Hospice House, United Hospice, Holly Hill Nursing Home and Dr. Angela S. Manning, Senior Pastor of New Life Ministries and the New Life Ministries family.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012 at 11 a.m. at New Life Ministries Church, 5651 Inner Perimeter Rd., Valdosta. Dr. Angela S. Manning, pastor, Elder William D. Hollimon, officiating. A private burial will be held for family only later. Public viewing will be held this evening, Feb. 10, 2012 from 2-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
