Mrs. Toy C. Booth, 100 of Adel passed away Thursday, March 14, 2013 at Berrien County Hospital. Mrs. Booth was born Aug. 12, 1912 to the late W.E. Connell and Leila Tyson Connell. She retired from the Cook County Board of Education. She was a member of the Adel Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Mell E. Booth of Adel; one son, Randy Booth of West Palm Beach, Fla.; one daughter, Melanie Barnes of Marietta, Ga.; sister, Libby Swanson of Asheville, N.C.; brother, Wayne Connell of Atlanta, Ga.; one granddaughter, Mrs. Darlene Bundrick of Forsyth; several nieces, nephews and four grandsons. Mrs. Booth was preceded in death by her daughter, Jackie Hopkins. Graveside services will be held today, March 16, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in Woodlawn City Cemetery with the Rev. Dillard Ensley officiating. The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to service at 10 a.m. at Purvis Funeral Home.
