Virginia L. Folsom

-- — Virginia L. Folsom, 81, of Hahira died Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013 at Select Specialty Hospital in Tallahassee, Fla. She was born in Hahira on Sept. 2, 1931 to the late Herbert L. and Esther Rowell LeGette. Mrs. Folsom was a devoted wife of sixty four years, a loving, caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt. She lived a life of service above self. Mrs. Folsom’s life was devoted to her family, church and community. She retired from Commercial Banking Company and spent many years serving her customers. Mrs. Folsom was a member of the Hahira United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Willing Workers Sunday School Class and the Quilting Circle. She had served as an officer of the Hahira Historical Society.  

Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Jesse Lee Folsom of Hahira; sons and daughter-in-law, Roger Folsom of Dublin, Randy and Sandy Folsom of Hahira; daughter and son-in-law, Lynne Folsom Johnson and Buster Johnson of Adel; her grandsons, Allen (Brittany) Folsom, Matt (Ashley) Folsom, Zach Johnson, granddaughters, Amy (Chris) Davis, Ashley Johnson; great-grandsons, Holt Folsom, Tate Folsom, Cason Bullard, Gage Folsom; great-granddaughters, Caitlin Bullard and Bailey Folsom; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Addie and Willard Forte of Adel, Barbara and John E. Fulp of Cecil; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013 at the Hahira United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ken Morgan and the Rev. Ike Jefferson officiating. Burial will follow in the Friendship Cemetery. The family will receive friends this evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Martin/McLane Funeral Home, 401 S. Church St., Hahira, GA 31632.
