Kimberley Ann Emmons

VALDOSTA — Kimberley Ann Emmons, of McKinney, Texas, passed away Feb. 13, 2013. Kimberley was born Sept. 15, 1967, in Riverside, Calif., to William Hager and Peggy Diane (Sloan) McElhanon. Kim attended Sierra High School in Colorado Springs, Colo., and moved to Valdosta, Ga., in 1996, where she went on to graduate from Valdosta State University in 2000. She was a pharmaceutical sales representative and great fan of college football and especially loved the Georgia Bulldogs. Kim was an avid athlete and a certified personal trainer. Her real passion, however, was her love for animals and she could routinely be seen taking her dogs out for a run.

She is survived by her children, Garrett Michael Emmons of Orlando, Fla., Haley Elizabeth Emmons and Cole Ryan Emmons, both of Valdosta; father, Bill Hager and wife Melinda of McKinney, Texas; mother, Peggy McElhanon and husband Don of Mesa, Ariz.; sister, Robin Heikkinen and husband, Matthew of San Antonio, Texas; and grandmother, Elizabeth Sloan of Mesa, Ariz.; and numerous loving nieces and nephews.

Kim was preceded in death by her grandparents, John Charles and Ella Mae Hager and Bill Sloan.

A service for Kimberley will be held in Valdosta, Ga., on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, at noon with a visitation beginning at 11 a.m. at Music Funeral Services, 3831 N. Valdosta Road.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to BARC Humane Society (barchumanesociety.org).  Donations should be made out to BARC and mailed to Dr. William Martin’s office at 111 E. Northside Drive, Valdosta, GA 31601. Sympathy may be expressed online at www.musicfuneralservices.com — Music Funeral Services, Valdosta is serving the family.
