Mrs. Irene Mae Hayes, 90, of Warner Robins, Ga., passed away Sunday, Sept. 30, 2012, in Perry, Ga., at Heart of Georgia Hospice. She was born February 22, 1922 in Alexandria, Va., to the late Harry and Ruth Thompson. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith and has lived most of her life in the Perry, Ga., area.
Mrs. Hayes is survived by two sons, Barry D. Hayes of Perry and Paul Hayes of New Jersey; two granddaughters, Deborah Hayes of Centerville, Ga., and Dasie Hayes of Perry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey Hampton Hayes, and a daughter, Debbie Hayes.
A graveside funeral service will take place Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012, at 4 p.m. at Forest Hill Freewill Church Cemetery with the Rev. Mike Gibbs officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday before the service from 1-3:30 p.m.at Boone Funeral Home, 1804 S. Hutchinson Ave., in Adel.
