VALDOSTA —
Ralph Emory “R.E.” Hendley Jr., 64, of Adel, passed away Sunday, May 13, 2012, at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born June 29, 1947, in Nashville, Ga., to the late Ralph Emory Hendley Sr. and Minnie Aline Cowart Hendley, but lived in Cook County most of his life. He was a retired farmer and a member of Cornerstone Christian Church.
Mr. Hendley is survived by his wife, Margaret Sumner Hendley of Adel; a son, Joey Hendley of Adel; son-in-law, Pastor Junior Dees of Adel; grandchildren, Amanda Dees, John David Dees, Bethany Hendley and Hannah Hendley, all of Adel; a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Laura Dees; a sister, Barbara McHan; and two grandchildren, Kulesa and Alexandria Hendley.
A memorial service for Mr. Hendley will be held Saturday, May 19, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Cornerstone Christian Church in Sparks with Pastor Junior Dees, the Rev. Johnny Hendley Jr., and the Rev. Roger Sumner officiating. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.boonefunerals.com.
