VALDOSTA —
Johnnie Faye Nix, 77, of Nashville died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2012, at the Langdale Hospice House.
She was born Jan. 11, 1935, in Berrien County to the late J.W. Dorminey and the late Alda Nancy Hall. She was a retired secretary with the Alapaha Judicial District Attorney’s Office.
She was preceded in death by a son, Allen Nix; sister, Annette Dorminey; and brother, Eddie Dorminey.
She is survived by her husband, James Lucious “Buddy” Nix of Nashville; daughter, Judith Ann (Bill) Cooper of Adel; son, David (Kim) Nix of Nashville; sister, Glenda Sherrell Collins of Valdosta; two brothers, Harold Dorminey of Griffin and A.J. Dorminey of Nashville; five grandchildren, Jennifer Barber, Eric Barber, Matthew (Sarah) Barber, Steven Barber and Andrew Nix; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Becky King and the Rev. Bob Ellis officiating. Interment will follow in Long Bridge Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday. — Lovein Funeral Home, Nashville
