VALDOSTA —
Bobby Lee Frier Sr., 72, of Echols County, died Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born in Dasher on Jan. 14, 1941, to the late Olive A. and Mary Lou Arnold Frier. He served as pastor for the Church of God and was a member of the Swilley Hill Church of God. Bro. Frier loved his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and lived life to the fullest.
Survivors include his daughter, Pam Burnett of Echols County; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Bobby Jr. and Susan Frier of Echols County, Kevin and Tammy Frier of Albany, Philip Frier of Echols County; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy Smith of Valdosta; one brother and sister-in-law, Shelton and Joan Frier of Valdosta; numerous nieces; nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Carter Frier; two sisters, Linda Crouch Wetherington, Louise Stanley; and one brother, Archie Frier.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, at the Azalea City Church of God with the Rev. Jonathon Church, the Rev. Raymond Hand, the Rev. Ray Dawson and the Rev. Wayne Owens officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery in Hahira.
