Steven Allen Anderson, 52, of Valdosta, died on Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, at South Georgia Medical Center after a short illness. Born at Fort Benning, Ga., on Nov. 11, 1960, he was the son of the late Raymond C. and Inez Madeline Ford Anderson. Mr. Anderson worked in restaurant maintenance. He was a member of the United Pentecostal Church.
Survivors are his daughters, Alicia Shay Anderson of Pasagoula, Miss., Shannon McPipkin of Lake Park; son, Steven Brian Anderson of Valdosta; brothers and their wives, James and Diane Falls of Atlanta, Raymond and Marcia Anderson of Valdosta; sisters and their husbands, Ann and Warner Wade of Columbus, Gwen and Aubrey Peacock of Fortson, Karen and Donald Wright of Palm Bay, Fla., Debra and Barry Rollins of Valdosta, Donna Bellew of Fancy Farm, Ky., Jeri Hayes of Nashville, Tenn. He was preceded in death by his wife, Miriam Toal Anderson and a sister, Linda Anderson.
Graveside services will be held today, Jan. 26, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Waverly Hall Cemetery in Waverly Hall, Ga. Pastor W.E. Wood will officiate. Condolences may be made online at www.mclanecares.com. The family received friends at the Carson McLane Funeral Home on Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. — Carson McLane Funeral Home.
