VALDOSTA —
Roy Bruce Russell, 86, died Feb. 11, 2013, at Crosswinds Health and Rehab.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, at Beggs Funeral Home with burial in Cherry Lake Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 9-10 a.m. at the church.
Mr. Russell was born in Birmingham, Ala., and moved to Pinetta, Fla., in 1974.
He served in World War II and was a Steel Construction Worker, Plaster and Cement Mason, and Owner Operator of Trucking Co. He was a member of Cherry Lake Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Jayne Russell; four sons, Ronald Bruce Russell, Robert Russell, Donald Russell, and Jeffery Russell; four daughters, Juanita Kavanagh, Barbara Winnington, Ronda Jayne Harbuck, and Robin Russell Bennett; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest B. Russell Sr. and Ethel Callan; son, Larry Russell; brother, Ernest B. Russell Jr.; and sister, Mary Juanita Yeargin. — Beggs Funeral Home, Madison, Fla., is in charge of arrangements. (850) 973-2258
