VALDOSTA —
Mary Skinner, 76 of Valdosta passed away Monday, Nov. 19, 2012 evening at her residence. She was born in Berrien County, Ga. on Jan. 6, 1936 to the late Willie D. and Mattie (Selph) Warren. Ms. Skinner was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. She retired from Precious Treasures Day Care. She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Skinner, Sr.
Survivors Include her daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Daryl Jones, Valdosta; son and daughter-in-law, John and Kathy Skinner, Jr., Valdosta; two grandchildren, Kristen Skinner (Timmy), Derek Skinner (Michelle); great-grandson, Jacob Skinner; two sisters and brother-in-law, Goldie and Richard Dunlap, Tahlequah, Okla., Eloise Stone, Valdosta; brother, Franklin “Buddy” Warren, Fitzgerald; special companion, Tiger; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 23, 2012 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with entombment following at Pleasant Cemetery in Berrien County. The family received friends Wednesday evening, Nov. 21, 2012 from 5 p.m. -7 p.m. at the funeral home.
