Jeanette Malham Ventrelli, 86, of Valdosta passed away Monday, Dec. 3, 2012 at Lakehaven Nursing Home. She was born on Feb. 11, 1926 in Valdosta to the late Joseph and Maude Malham and was a lifelong resident of Valdosta. Mrs. Ventrelli was a member of the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Jeanette was a fixture at Neel’s Department Store for 20 years, passionately serving her customers. She later went to work for the City of Valdosta retiring in 1996.
Survivors include her daughter and son in law, Maria and John Vick of Valdosta; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Dawn and Mike Powers; great-granddaughter, Brynn Powers the love of her life, all of Marietta, Ga.; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Florene Kalil, Estelle and Sheldon Broomberg all of Valdosta; several nieces, nephews and many special friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernie Ventrelli; and three brothers, Jacob Malham, Joe Malham and Raymond Malham.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012 at Sunset Hill Cemetery with Father Dan O’Connell officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Break Bread Ministry, care of First Presbyterian Church, 313 North Patterson Street, Valdosta, Ga. 31601.
